WHAT ARE AERIAL BOOTS USED FOR?
-Aerial boots provide protection when doing certain moves on any Aerial equipment, especially for the top of the foot and the shin area.
WHAT STYLE AERIAL BOOTS SHOULD I GET?
The short Aerial boots provide good protection for the most pain-sensitive areas: the top of the foot and front of the lower shin. They are also quicker to put on and take off than the full-length options, unless you choose the zip-up option.
However, if you want more protection up your shin, you will be better off with the petite or full-length height. Just make sure the boots don't come up too close to your knee when you check the height measurement, so their top edge can't interfere with moves where a knee hang is involved.
That is, unless you do swinging trapeze, in which case you would want the boots to come up as close to your knee as possible.
In terms of colours and leathers, the classic black aerial boots are slightly more durable than the other colours, and the most practical, as they don't show any dirt and any scratches on the leather can be revived with black or natural shoe polish.
READY TO BUY OR MADE TO MEASURE?
-All boots in the Shop section are made in standard sizes, and you can find out which size will fit you on the sizing chart. There is room for adjustment due to the lacing at the back and the width of the back panel. The made-to-measure option is for customers who would like the boots to be made exactly to their measurements or would like to request some smaller alterations/changes on the boots, i.e. height, tightness around foot, extra padding, specific colour or decoration etc.
WHAT IF I’M IN BETWEEN SIZES?
-If you are in between sizes it usually is advisable to choose the smaller size, as the boots will stretch with wear & body heat. But best is to contact us and get advice for your individual measurements.
DELIVERY TIMES FOR UK AND INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING?
-Within the UK, we offer next-day delivery or 2nd class, for EUROPE the transit time is 4-7 working days, for REST OF WORLD the transit time is 6-10 working days. But please note that none of these transit times are guaranteed and there always can be delays.
There are express shipping options for destinations outside the UK.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY AERIAL BOOTS?
The leather part of the boots can be polished with shoe polish – Natural polish can be used on most colour leather but it is always advisable to test on a small hidden area. The suede part can be cleaned with a suede brush, which also brings back the grip if the suede has gone flat and shiny with use. Neutral colour renovating spray for suede can also be used to revive and protect the suede panels.
WHY HAVE A ZIP IN MY AERIAL BOOTS?
-The lacing up process, especially for the full length boots, can take a bit of time, so if you think that you will wear the boots less because of that or if you need quick access (wearing the boots only for specific moves during training) it is advisable to have a zip in your boots. So far we only had good feedback from people using boots with inside zip and they confirmed that the zip doesn’t get in the way on the equipment and is comfortable on the leg. We only use high quality YKK zips.
